Lava Stone Sink

Countertop sink crafted from natural lava stone, characterized by the spectacular contrast between its rough exterior in golden and gray tones and its dark polished interior.

Its irregular shape preserves the original appearance of the stone, with asymmetrical edges, small cavities and a porous surface that enhances its mineral character and makes each piece different.

The interior has been carefully worked and polished to achieve a smooth, glossy surface that contrasts with the almost untouched texture of the exterior.

Basalto is a sink with a striking visual presence, particularly suited to bathrooms where natural stone takes center stage.

Description

Basalto clearly showcases the contrast between the primitive appearance of lava stone and the refined finish that can be achieved by carefully working its interior.

The exterior retains an intensely rough and porous surface, marked by numerous small cavities and irregularities created by the stone’s volcanic formation. Its tones combine browns, ochres and golden highlights with darker gray areas, creating a mineral appearance rich in nuances.

In contrast, the interior has been carved and polished to reveal a dark, deep and glossy surface. This finish highlights subtle variations in color and creates interesting reflections when light falls on the stone.

The irregular edge acts as a transition between the two surfaces. In some areas it remains completely natural and rough, while in others the darker tone of the interior begins to emerge, making the transformation of the stone particularly visible.

Its geometry does not seek perfect symmetry either. Different heights, curves and variations in thickness create an organic silhouette that preserves the feeling of a fragment of volcanic rock transformed by hand into a sink.
