Description

Dior originates from an exceptional natural formation of teak wood. Rather than following a regular geometry, its design takes advantage of the curves, deformations, cavities and changes in volume of the original piece to create a sink with a distinctly sculptural presence.

The exterior retains much of this natural character. Open knots, small fissures, cavities and abrupt changes in the contour reveal the distinctive features of the wood, making the piece appear almost like a small sculpture shaped by nature and subsequently finished by hand.

In contrast, the interior has been carefully hollowed and smoothed to create the functional area of the sink. The surface treatment beautifully reveals the teak grain, with concentric patterns, flowing lines and variations between honey, golden and deeper brown tones.

The very nature of the wood makes it impossible to reproduce these forms exactly. Its knots, grain, cavities and irregularities belong exclusively to this piece and are precisely the elements that define its character.
