Description

Dune represents a different approach to wood decoration: the natural form of the teak becomes the design of the sculpture itself. Rather than following regular lines or conventional geometry, the piece preserves much of the wood’s original structure, allowing its natural irregularities to define its character.

Its composition develops vertically through large curved surfaces that open and narrow irregularly. Natural cavities, openings, knots and eroded areas create different planes and allow light to pass through certain parts of the structure, producing shadows that change depending on the viewing angle.

The surface preserves the distinctive characteristics of teak. The grain follows the curves of the wood, while small cracks, changes in texture and variations in color reveal its natural origin. Warm tones combine with lighter and darker areas, adding depth without diminishing the rustic character of the piece.

Thanks to its proportions and strong vertical presence, Dune can stand alone as a sculpture without the need for additional decorative elements. Against neutral backgrounds, stone walls, microcement or light-toned surfaces, the wood gains even greater prominence.
